North Central Texas College located in Gainesville, Texas is
centrally located between Fort Worth, Tx and Oklahoma City, Ok two of the
busiest Horse Event fairgrounds in the United States. Due to this fact many of
the top trainers, breeders, veterinarians and a multitude of equine related
businesses have made this Southwestern region home. The
Equine
Program at NCTC is designed to give students hands-on experience, real
industry application and a well rounded curriculum that includes science,
business, riding, training and a Sports Rehab class. NCTC offers students the
opportunity to get involved in the numerous careers available by earning
Associates in either Equine Science or Equine Business Management. They also
offer a Certificate in Equine Breeding or Equine Training and Management.
Bill Kaven is currently teaching full time at North Central
Texas College in the Equine Science Program. Along with his teaching duties he
coach’s the schools IHSA Equestrian Team. Bill brings to his current position 20
plus years of being a professional horse trainer, breeder, clinician and judge.
He has helped horses and riders achieve top honors in numerous events and has
shared that knowledge through the vast clinics he has given worldwide. Bill
holds both a AQHA and NSBA judges card and has had the privilege of officiating
at such prestigious events as the Tom Powers Futurity and the Scottsdale
Classic.
Steven Biller has been in the horse business for over 20 years.
He had an extensive show career in Europe for 10 years. He is an AQHA
Professional Horseman and has worked for NSBA Hall of Fame trainers, Bill and
Tina Kaven and Steve Heckamen. He trains All-Around and Western Pleasure in
Whitesboro TX. where he resides with his wife Nicole, and son Seth. He conducts
4 clinics annuall in Europe, primarily in Sweden.
